Virtual Events for June 2020

May 25, 2020 in Tips

Are you excited that many of your favorite business and restaurants have finally opened up, even if they are open with stipulations? We are, too, but many events that are usually held throughout the summertime here in Utah are still canceled or postponed. On the other hand, many of the annual events we enjoy are still being put on, just virtually. Below, we have compiled a list of a few of the most popular events in the area that are being done virtually.

Utah Valley Marathon

In lieu of an in-person race this year, the Utah Valley Marathon will be held virtually. You still have to run, but the results and miles will be uploaded to the Utah Valley site. You still register through the Utah Valley Marathon Site. You will receive a shirt and medal, along with the results to compare with your peers. Date to register is May 20th, while the deadline to submit your results is June 30th. To register, click here.

2020 Sojo Summerfest

The annual SoJo Summerfest is going virtual this year June 1st through the 6th. From the historical quest to the Best in Show SoJo Pet show, will all be held online. For up-to-date information on where to submit pictures and videos, visit the website here. The event will be held live on the website and throughout their social media sites.

Splash Days is going virtual this June, with lots of awesome and new activities to keep the tradition alive! Splash days will be a virtual event this year, June 8-13. There will be virtual contests and activities for families to participate in and opportunities to win prizes. For more information, visit the website here.

Though many events are postponed or canceled some of our favorite annual events are being put on virtually. Our state is slowly opening back up to normal and everyone is excited about it, but we must remain careful with how we jump back into normalcy. We are excited to see you out and about and maybe we will see you at one of these virtual events.
