Great Delivery Services to Use

April 7, 2020 in Tips

As working from home and social distancing have become the way of life for many people in the Sandy Utah area, the way we are able to buy groceries and get food from our favorite restaurants has changed. As most restaurants have had to switch to takeout only, many of us are having to turn to food delivery services to keep from leaving the house and entering crowded stores and restaurants.

Many delivery services are implementing no-contact delivery, where meals and groceries are left on the doorsteps rather than handed to you.

Below, we are going to lay out some of our favorite delivery services to use for your safe delivery.

Many restaurants in the area also are doing their own delivery, as they are not part of an agreement with the delivery services. Ordering directly from the restaurant ensures that all of the money you spend goes to that restaurant from which you ordered the food.

Postmates

Postmates is available and easy to use in the Salt Lake City area, and the service goes beyond traditional food delivery. Postmates will pick up other goods for you, such as alcohol and groceries. This service can be your go-to, be-all for additional goods you hope to get delivered to your home. Postmates is offering no-contact delivery. Get your necessities delivered with Postmates.

DoorDash

DoorDash has one of the largest selections of restaurants to choose from. DoorDash is now allowing independent restaurants to join the platform with zero commissions for 30 days and is also not requiring commission fees on pick-up orders for partners.

DoorDash offers no-contact delivery and is very easy to use from the comfort of your home.

Delivery drivers must pass an extensive background check, so you can also trust the person delivering your items. Order your favorite meal from DoorDash.

Uber Eats

Uber is the biggest person transport service available to the community. Uber Eats is a great food delivery service that offers no-contact delivery. Additionally, the company is waiving all delivery fees for independent restaurants and is offering two weeks of paid sick leave for couriers affected by COVID-19 or those who are in quarantine by public health authorities.

Uber is also offering free meals to first responders and healthcare workers across the U.S.

Order from Uber Eats here.
